Thirty years in Lagyna. From a group of young people who loved basketball to the A1 League.
The foundations
In 1996, a group of passionate young people with a vision and a love for basketball founded the Athletic and Cultural Club of Lagyna (A.M.S. Lagynon). Despite a difficult first decade, the men's team was officially recognised by the General Secretariat of Sport in 2006.
A quieter period followed until 2016, when a new, organised effort re-founded the club as the basketball club «Ethnikos Laginon», recognised again by the General Secretariat of Sport.
Since then the men's team has played every season in the EKASTH leagues, now in the A1 men's division, while the youth teams give new generations the chance to fall in love with the game.

Our home
The Ethnikos Laginon Sports Arena was completed in 2006 and opened that same year to the people of Lagyna and the wider area.
With 250 seats for basketball and volleyball, it has a gym, locker rooms, offices, a café, electronic scoreboards and parking for 80 cars.
It is more than our teams' home court. It is a meeting place full of energy and passion for sport.
From A.M.S. Lagynon in 1996 to the re-founding of Ethnikos Laginon in 2016, three unbeaten titles, National League 2 and 30 years of basketball in Lagyna.
